What is really interesting about this film, apart from the fact it has canon incest, is that it was written and directed by Anna Paquin’s brother Andrew Paquin. Anna and her husband Stephen Moyer only have small cameo roles but obviously they did the film to help out her brother, which is nice. I liked how the movie was set up so that the viewer isn’t suppose to know that the brother and sister (David and Lila) are in fact siblings. There is just subtle hints throughout the movie, and then an obvious allude to it when Lila is talking about David’s children’s book he wrote and how the brother and sister are not being allowed to fall in love with each other, and that they are twins. So the two sibling characters in the movie are not only brother and sister, but twins. I liked how the movie did sort of a role reversal and had the sister calling the shots and being the dominant one, but at the same time the brother was so weak and just seemed so unstable it made it less fun and interesting. It is another example of this sort of toxic codependent relationship between psychotic incestuous siblings that a lot of films that are canon have, but still worth a watch.
A few days ago I did a post on British soaps Brookside and Hollyoaks that contained brothers and sisters in incestuous relationships. Now I bring to your attention “cousins” who locked lips last year in Port Charles and some other soaps that contained incestuous pairings.
Guiding Light did the kissing cousins couple first in 2004 with Tammy and Jonathan known as “Jammy.” Surprisingly they became a major couple on the show and a fan favorite!

Brookside: In 1996, the long running series “Brookside” caused an uproar when it featured a storyline of a consensual incestuous sexual relationship between two sibling characters. Brother and sister Nat and Georgia Simpson were fully aware that they were related, but they still couldn’t resist getting it on with each other in what many saw as the storyline that initiated Brookside’s decline.

In my most recent analysis I attempt to explain The Leftovers TV show and the amazing episode that was episode 9 that was literally filled with electricity between brother and sister Tommy and Jill. Contains spoilers.
“We would absolutely love to make a circuit, wouldn’t we.”
As you can probably see by all the posts, I have been on a bit of The Leftovers bender lately. But I can’t help it, the show is filled with so many shipable pairings and even twin brothers! And the thing is you could see any of these pairings actually becoming canon since it is a show where anything can happen. Remember this?
Then episode 9 happened, aptly titled “The Garveys at their Best,” and the writers couldn’t have been more right! This one finally reunited the brother and sister pairing for the first time all season and the sparks flew!…Literally!

In the episode of Faking It called, “Remember the Croquembouche,” there is a couple of fraternal twins introduced in the episode.
Their names are Petra & Pietra and viewers are led to believe at their introduction that Pietra (the brother) is gay and that his sister tags along as backup. However, on their respective dates, all the twins can talk about is each other and when Pietra’s date, Shane, drops something and goes to pick it up what does he see? The twins holding hands behind their backs!
This new HBO Go campaign suggests maybe Game of Thrones, Girls, or True Detective aren’t ideal for quality family time. No one should have to hear about Nana and Grampa Joe or the temptations of Memphis during their favorite TV show. This is where the wonders of technology come in very handy. Unless of course it crashes, then you’re stuck watching twincest with Mom and Dad.
What a great ad! Plus on top of all that other awkwardness it is a brother and sister watching it!

The House of Wax literally starts melting as soon as twins siblings (Carly and Nick) enter it.
The plot is as follows. Six young folks get stranded near a strange wax museum in Ambrose on their way to a football game, and in the midst of their own melodramas, they must fight to survive and keep from becoming the next exhibit!
Paris Hilton is Paige, who is keeping a secret from her boyfriend, Blake (Robert Ri’chard). The fact that Paris Hilton was cast actually makes perfect sense for the film, and it is also neat and scary that she really does have a wax statue in real life, lol! Elisha Cuthbert is Carly, the subject of a three-way rivalry among her dreamboat boyfriend, Wade (Jared Padalecki from Supernatural); a dispensable doofus in a baseball cap named Dalton (Jon Abrahams); and her twin brother, Nick (Chad Michael Murray), who has just finished a spell in jail for auto theft.
Carly and Nick’s contrasting temperaments – he sardonically refers to himself as “the evil twin” – mirror the sibling dynamic of the killers, providing House of Wax with hints of a psychological, sexual and incestuous subtext. Continue reading

Meme and Jeremias are the younger children in a typical bourgeois family. Their mother Lucia is the dominant force in the household, believed to have total control over the lives of her family. But her fixation on upholding the niceties of upper middle class life has prevented her from seeing what is really going on under her roof. When the siblings’ older brother and his fiancee arrive home for their wedding, it seems inevitable that the concealment will be impossible to sustain and that hidden truths of the family will come to light. But equally it becomes apparent that if Lucia were to find out about the affair, there would be catastrophic consequences.
Geminis is the second film directed by Albertina Carri , one of the most acclaimed Argentine filmmakers, who is use to addressing controversial issues. In this film she tackles incest, never leaving the viewer indifferent.
With a middle class family with everyday problems at the center, and incestuous twins seeing each other in secret – the viewer feels like a voyeur into their affair.
